ADHD Schools Across The U.S.
ADHD Schools… do they really exist?
Actually they do. There are hundreds of them all designed to help children who have learning differences. Noticed we didn’t say “disabilities”.
I’m sure you’ve heard the countless stories about Albert Einstein who had what is today called ADHD. He was as smart as they come, but he just couldn’t get it together in school. He just learned “differently”. He was clearly not learning disabled or else he wouldn’t have been able to come up with the theory of relativity or discover the law of photoelectric effect. Einstein was just “different”. And that’s the case with most children and teens with ADD/ADHD.
Many with ADHD are gifted, highly intelligent, above average or just average. But to label them “disabled” would be wrong. This is the thinking behind the many ADHD schools that cater to children with Attention Deficit Disorder.
Below you will see a list of all 50 states in the United States and the District of Columbia. We are actively compiling a list of schools in every state. If your state isn’t highlighted it just means we haven’t gotten to it yet, but check back as this is a work in progress.
